From September 7 to 10, the 2024 International Textile Federation Annual Conference was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. With the theme of "innovation, cooperation and rules - driving force of textile and clothing industry", more than 300 global textile industry representatives from 42 countries and regions discussed and exchanged key issues affecting the development of the current textile and clothing industry.

Srinivasan stressed in his speech that 2024 coincides with the 120th anniversary of the founding of the International Textile Federation. He called on all countries and regions in the world to work together to meet challenges, achieve common prosperity and build innovative and sustainable cotton, textile and clothing industries.

During the four-day conference, the participants exchanged views on topics such as "fiber cotton and man-made fiber", "Uzbekistan textile industry", "sustainability and rules", "digitalization", "artificial intelligence of textile value chain", "collaboration", "International Textile Federation Awards", etc.

In the topic link of "sustainability and rules", Yan Yan, Vice President of China Textile Federation and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Textile Information Center With the theme of "Green transformation - from policy to industry practice", he delivered a speech at the conference. She said that China Textile Federation is promoting industrial enterprises to participate in climate action from the policy and practice levels, accelerating green and low-carbon transformation, and helping to achieve the goal of "double carbon".

In the topic link of "collaboration", Zhang Tao, Vice President of Textile Industry Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade On behalf of the organizing committee of APTEXPO Asia Pacific Textile and Clothing Supply Chain Expo and Summit Forum (hereinafter referred to as Singapore Asia Pacific Expo), he made a presentation. He said that the first Singapore Asia Pacific Exhibition will be held in Singapore Jinsha Convention and Exhibition Center from November 13 to 15, 2024, focusing on the theme of "building a flexible, flexible and sustainable textile and clothing supply chain system".

During the annual meeting, Xu Yingxin and Yan Yan also attended the working meetings of the decision-making committee and management committee of the International Textile Federation. With regard to the Industrial Textiles Committee of the International Textile Federation (preparatory), Xu Yingxin said that the China Textile Federation supports the establishment of the Industrial Textiles Committee of the International Textile Federation and will actively participate in the preparatory work and conference activities of the Committee.
