With ethylene glycol, local enterprises in Wujiang can produce new fibers and make clothes 。

Previously, if you wanted to get ethylene glycol, you had to extract oil and consume petrochemical energy. Now we can find raw materials from the air, reducing the consumption of oil.

According to statistics, 320 kg of carbon dioxide can be used to produce 1 ton of new fiber, and 150000 tons of carbon dioxide gas can be recycled every year by the whole system 。

Waste plastic bottles "transform" into breathable clothing fabrics

In Wujiang, not only air can be used to make clothes, but also plastic bottle pieces cut into pieces.

When these raw materials are put into the production line of the enterprise, through impurity removal, high temperature, hot melting, etc., they can also generate recycled fibers, which can also be made into clothes. On average, a short sleeved garment in summer can consume 8 to 10 plastic bottles.
