With the optimization and adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures, Zhejiang business groups who have flown abroad to explore markets have received praise on the Internet. Their return journey is as concerned as their departure: what does the meaningful journey bring back?

   Bring back new orders and harvest market trends

During this trip to Europe, Zhejiang organized 31 enterprises to participate in the "European Food Ingredients and Health Ingredients Exhibition", which is the most influential exhibition in the food ingredients industry.

On the other side, in Europe, Fei Zhongfu, chairman of Ruili Home Textile, sat in the hotel waiting for old customers. This is the eighth year of cooperation between the two sides. This year, the order has been online for a quarter, and they have not been able to finalize it.

There are market changes behind orders. When he left, Hua Yifan, the business manager of Jiaxing Shanhui Clothing Co., Ltd., was full of suitcases, including more than 50 sample clothes. One of the important purposes of his trip was to explore the market.

A few days later, Huayi Fan clearly felt that the demand for products in the Japanese market was changing: the devaluation of the yen coupled with the consumption of the inventory accumulated during the epidemic, customers paid more attention to cost performance than ever before, and small batches of customized orders became more. "When I go back, the categories of raw materials will be expanded and the production of enterprises will be adjusted accordingly," he said.

If we say that since the epidemic, various government subsidy policies have been "giving people fish", then this trip is "giving people fish" to help enterprises clarify their development plans.

This is also the basic logic of Zhejiang's choice of destinations in Europe and Japan: the European market and the American market are the largest and most purchasing power overseas markets; For Jiaxing, Japan has always been the most important partner. Aiming at these regions, we should focus not only on next year, but also on the long-term future.

"It is true that we have got the order, but more importantly, we have found the direction," an enterprise representative told the reporter.

On this trip, Fei Zhongfu not only received the "Christmas gift", but also the enterprise's plan to build factories overseas was settled.

Before the epidemic, Fei Zhongfu planned to build a factory in Germany, the largest market of the enterprise. This plan was put on hold because of the epidemic, and his important task is to visit the factory site with the delegation this time.

During the trip, he met an overseas Chinese from Tongxiang who came to Paris to negotiate with the business group. After listening to Fei Zhongfu's plan, the overseas Chinese gave him a new suggestion on site selection: put the production line in Germany's neighboring Poland, where the labor cost is lower, and also use the overseas storage layout of Chinese enterprises such as Jingdong and Ali.

"I am really excited. I will visit Poland again in January next year." Fei Zhongfu said that this meeting with "fellow townsmen" changed the direction of future planning.

In Japan these days, Huayi Fan often hears a keyword, "RCEP". Since this year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) has been implemented, and garment exports from Southeast Asia to Japan will be completely duty-free in the future.

"At this meeting, many old Japanese customers told us why they hesitated to place orders this year: considering the cost factor, they might transfer their clothing orders to Southeast Asia." This made Huayi Fan more certain of the opportunities behind the challenge - to increase the strength of expanding the supply chain in Southeast Asia.

Recently, Suanhui Garments began to cooperate with a factory in Myanmar to export Chinese textile raw materials to Myanmar, process them into ready to wear clothes, and then export them to the Japanese market. "Customers are very interested in our layout. Next, we should expand the proportion of overseas factories," he said.

"This is not a trip. Before we left, we were all worried. The efficiency of this trip must be commensurate with the cost," said Zhang Yueqin, director of Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

When the plane landed, the enterprises were busy grabbing orders and exploring the market, while the government personnel were busy collecting information, matchmaking and helping Zhejiang enterprises link to the world.

The European delegation led by the Provincial Department of Commerce went to Paris and visited no less than 6 enterprises and 5 chambers of commerce in 5 days across 2 cities in Germany. The arrangement is in full swing, and every destination is meaningful.

After three years of absence, overseas Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese associations who know the overseas market best are the important visitors of the business group. "The overseas Chinese enterprises associated with overseas Chinese can be said to be the mainstay of the local business field. The local Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry where they are located has members from all walks of life and is a valuable cooperation resource," said Zhang Yueqin. For example, an overseas Chinese enterprise operating a shopping mall in the local area is the ideal partner of Jiaxing local textile and clothing export enterprises.

"Enterprises have old customers, old friends, and we also have them," said Xu Weiqiang, vice president of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Jiaxing. Their mission during this trip was to carry out business visits, inspection and investment promotion activities.

The arrival of the Chinese investment team surprised and pleased the relevant Japanese departments and institutions. "In addition to docking with customers, we also publicize the optimization measures for epidemic prevention and control in China, and welcome them to visit China more," Xu Weiqiang said.

Zhang Yueqin recalled that when the foreign side heard of a series of measures taken by the Zhejiang government to stabilize the economy and ensure production during the epidemic, it was amazing - the head of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry said: "The government that dare to take responsibility and do things like this is very unbearable."

Zhang Yueqin said frankly that before they set out, what they were most worried about was that the international situation would deepen their concern about investing in Zhejiang in the European market. When the misunderstanding is lifted and the consensus is reached, the confidence of foreign-funded enterprises in investment is more sufficient, and the confidence of investment promotion personnel is also returned. According to the latest statistics, Jiaxing's economic and trade delegation to Germany, France and Japan reached 5 investment intention projects, with an intention to invest more than 200 million dollars.
