Guangqing Textile and Clothing Industry Orderly Transfer Park held a collective commencement ceremony on the 31st, and the roar of more than 2000 fully powered textile and clothing equipment machines in the park marked the "good start" of Qingyuan New Year.

In the field of textile and clothing circulation, Guangzhou Zhongda Textile and Clothing Business District has a pivotal position. After more than 30 years of development, it has become the leading market cluster of textile and garment surface and auxiliary materials in China, with an estimated annual turnover of more than 200 billion yuan. But at the same time, there are also problems such as lack of reasonable planning and layout.

In recent years, Guangzhou and Qingyuan have jointly actively promoted the orderly transfer of the textile and clothing industry circle of Zhongda, realized industrial transformation and upgrading, and shared development dividends. Among them, the Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Orderly Transfer Park, with an area of more than 10000 mu, planned and constructed by Qingyuan Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, can fully accommodate the textile fashion industry chain integrating design, production and sales overflowing from Guangzhou, and undertake the orderly transfer of relevant industries including Guangzhou's medium and large cloth market. At present, the park can accommodate 2000 enterprises, and nearly 10000 enterprises can be accommodated when it is fully completed.

It is understood that Guangzhou and Qingyuan will jointly hold several special investment fairs in December 2022. At the same time, Qingyuan City has formulated the "Eight Rules for Qingyuan Textile and Clothing Industry" to promote the orderly transfer of the textile and clothing industry from eight aspects, including fixed asset investment incentives and rent free subsidies. Qingyuan also introduced relevant financial support policies and talent training plans.

Up to now, Guangqing Textile and Clothing Industry Orderly Transfer Park has docked more than 5000 enterprises, 1496 enterprises intend to settle down, and more than 200 enterprises have settled down.

It is reported that the textile processing and manufacturing industry in the Pearl River Delta will be transferred to Qingyuan, which will have advantages in terms of industrial space and cost. Pan Haitao, director of Qingyuan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that Qingyuan's operating costs in land use, transportation, water and electricity are only 60% - 70% of those in the Pearl River Delta.
