Pay Attention To The Export Of Vietnam Textile And Garment Industry Behind The Continuous Growth

Vietnam's "Customs online" reported on May 13 that in the first four months of this year, Vietnam's textile and clothing export volume has reached nearly 11 billion US dollars, up nearly 21% year-on-year, at a seminar on sustainable production of textile supply chain jointly organized by Vitas and IFC. The signed free trade agreement brings great opportunities to Vietnam. In particular, the RCEP agreement, which just came into force in early 2022, is a great opportunity for Vietnam.

In addition, despite the complicated development of the epidemic, the demand for Vietnam's textile and clothing products is still growing, with exports increasing by nearly 21% in the first four months of this year. Among them, Vietnam's textile exports to major export markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries have achieved positive growth.

However, in addition to opportunities, Vietnam's textile and clothing industry also faces three challenges. First, it is still affected by the global supply chain; Second, all brand companies require the use of recycled products, while the supply chain of Vietnam's textile and clothing industry is still limited; Third, labor resources.
