The Standard For Purchasing Fresh Cocoons Of Silkworm Was Officially Released; Silkworm; Fresh Cocoon

A few days ago, the Ministry of Commerce of the people's Republic of China confirmed that seven domestic trade industry standards have been approved by the Ministry of Commerce and officially issued. The technical requirements for purchasing fresh silkworm cocoons (Standard No. sb / t11225-2021) are listed among them and will be implemented on May 1, 2021.

The standard was led by researcher Li Long of the sericulture industry product quality supervision and Testing Center (Zhenjiang) of the agricultural and rural Department of Jiangke University, and was formulated by the sericulture Research Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Sichuan Silk Science Research Institute, Southwest University and other units, and took five years to complete. In the process of formulating the standard, the opinions of relevant experts and cocoon users such as relevant universities, scientific research institutes, sericulture management departments, quality inspection departments, sericulture production units and other relevant experts and cocoon users were extensively absorbed. After several consultation and expert argumentation and modification, the standard (Draft for approval) was formed and submitted on November 11, 2019.

The quality of fresh cocoon purchasing technology is directly related to cocoon yield and quality, and to the interests of farmers and cocoon and silk enterprises. For a long time, there is no unified standard for cocoon purchasing technology in China, and there is no advanced international and foreign standards for purchasing fresh silkworm cocoons. There is an increasingly strong voice for the whole industry to formulate a unified and high-quality technical standard for Fresh Cocoon acquisition in the market《 The formulation of "technical requirements for purchasing fresh cocoons of silkworm" will provide the basis for strengthening the supervision during and after the event and standardizing the market competition.
