Schaeffler Spent 45 Million Euros To Build New Factories In Vietnam

Hull, Germany, May 14, 2019 Zuo Kangle, a new business opening ceremony of the new factory in Vietnam's border and city.

Schaeffler invested more than 45 million euros in the construction of the plant.

By the end of this year, the new plant will create about 300 new jobs.

The new plant will become one of the most efficient and modern production facilities in the global production network.

The new factory is located in the southern part of Vietnam, located in the Amata Industrial Park in Bian and city, about 50 km away from Hu Zhiming.

It will replace existing factories and produce industrial bearings and components for various uses.

Schaeffler is upgrading the capacity of its existing products and developing new product lines, including centripetal inserts and needle bearings.

Providing "Asian made" products for global customers

Vietnam's new factory is based on modular concept and plans to expand further in the next few years.

The factory now covers an area of about 25000 square meters.

"In addition to the production facilities in Korea, we opened a new automobile factory in Thailand in 2016. Today we are very proud to announce the opening of the new factory of the Ministry of industry and Commerce in Vietnam," said Dr. Stefan Spindler, chief executive of the Schaeffler group's industrial division.

The products produced by the new plant will be supplied to customers in various industrial fields such as agriculture, construction and mining, power pmission, food processing, textile, paper making, steel, cement and motorcycles.

Application of the industrial 4 solution developed by the developer

The new plant will adopt advanced production equipment and technology. In addition, it is Schaeffler's first factory in Southeast Asia to adopt the latest industrial 4 solution developed by Schaeffler.

70 sets of SmartCheck monitoring system are installed in key locations.

These compact monitoring devices help Schaeffler and his customers optimize the manufacturing process, extend maintenance intervals and reduce downtime, thereby reducing the cost of machines and equipment throughout the life cycle.

Schaeffler held the inauguration ceremony of Vietnam new factory.

The new factory covers about 3.5 football fields and is one of the most modern factories in the world.
