Nevertheless, Vietnam's clothing exports increased by 63% in the first quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2016, accounting for 12.8% of the market share of clothing imports in the United States, 37.2% only to China.

In the first quarter of 2016, Vietnam's clothing export price to the United States dropped by 1.7%, and China's export unit price fell by 4.4%.

In the first quarter of 2016, Vietnam's high-end clothing exports exceeded China's average export price, which was 23% higher than that of China.

Compared to pure cotton clothing, the demand for chemical fiber clothing is even higher.

According to statistics, in the first quarter of 2016, the export volume of chemical fiber clothing from Vietnam to the United States increased by 11.8% compared to the same period last year, while that of pure cotton increased by only 1.3%.

Among them, the export of chemical fiber underwear increased nearly doubled, the market share reached 10%, and the export volume of women's chemical fiber shirts increased by 35%.

In the EU market, the export volume of textiles and clothing from Vietnam to the EU increased by 1.8% in the first quarter of 2016. The export volume increased from 35% in the first quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2016, and Vietnam became the sixth largest supplier of textiles and clothing in the EU.

Vietnam's exports to the EU account for 2.84% of Vietnam's textile and clothing exports, and exports account for 3.57% of total exports.

In the first quarter of 2016, the unit price of textile and clothing exports rose to 5.4% from Vietnam to the EU. This shows that Vietnam's exports to the EU are mainly of high quality.
