The Meaning Behind Just Do It Nike Advertising Words

A "Just do it" allows more people to know N. Ike, too. Making this slogan one of the most famous advertising slogans in the world. Campaign magazine described it as "the best advertising slogan in the 20 century", claiming that it "broke the barriers between all ages and classes, making consumers willing to believe that Nike products can be successful."

But do you know the inspiration of "Just do it"?

At the 2015 South Africa design conference held in Cape Town not long ago, W Ieden+Kennedy wide Dan Wieden, co founder of the company, told the surprising story of Just do it when interviewed by Dezeen.

"I remember a man in Portland," Dan Wieden told Dezeen, "he ran around to do many illegal things, and even killed a man and a woman in Utah, and then he was sent to prison."

The killer was named Gary Gilmore, who lived in Portland since her childhood. The headquarters of Nike and Wieden+Kennedy advertising company are here. Before being executed, the executioner asked Gary Gilmore, "do you have any thoughts before you die?" He said "Let 's do it".

This gave Dan Wieden inspiration, but he didn't really like the saying of "Let s do it", so she changed it to "Just do it".

At the very beginning, Nike co-founder Phil Knight was skeptical and rejected the proposal. Phil Knight said, "we don't need those things." But Dan Wieden responded, "please believe me this time."

In the end, Phil Knight decided to believe that the slogan "Dan do it", along with Nike's Swoosh small tick logo logo, helped Reebok surpass its rival Reebok and promoted its brand. Global sports brand The giant used this slogan and logo to this day.
