Ethnic minorities in Xinjiang and Central Asian countries have similar hobbies in terms of clothing, color, style and so on. Clothing production in Xinjiang is more in line with the needs of all nationalities in Xinjiang and Central Asian countries.

In addition, the market has great potential and broad prospects for development.

Xinjiang has certain export and domestic demand markets.

In 2011, Xinjiang's textile and apparel exports amounted to 7 billion 280 million US dollars, of which clothing was US $5 billion 410 million, accounting for about 32.14% of the total export value, and the volume of clothing exported to the local market was about 50000000000 yuan.

The export of clothing enterprises in Xinjiang accounted for only 1%.

The Party committee and government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region adhere to the theme of scientific development, take the pformation of the mode of economic development as the main line, base on the underdeveloped basic regional conditions of Xinjiang, seize the important strategic opportunities firmly, and make good use of the support of the central government and the support of 19 provinces and cities to support Xinjiang, so as to give full play to Xinjiang's own advantages.

In the field of textile and clothing, we should actively promote the continuous extension of the industrial chain.

In June of this year, Xinjiang's "opinions on accelerating the development of Xinjiang's clothing industry" put forward the general requirements, basic principles and development goals for the development of the garment industry in the autonomous region. It brought together the existing policies related to the development of the clothing industry in the autonomous region, and put forward 22 measures from 4 aspects, namely, encouraging investment and development of garment enterprises, increasing financial support, strengthening financial and tax support, promoting employment and promoting the construction of talents. This provides a rare opportunity for the development of Xinjiang's clothing industry.

Xinjiang's "12th Five-Year plan" for textile industry also reflects Xinjiang's determination to support the textile and garment industry.

According to the goal of "two cities, seven gardens and one center" established in the "12th Five-Year plan" of Xinjiang textile industry, the "Urumqi international textile and garment trade center" is built.

In 2011, Xinjiang's textile enterprises above Designated Size realized the total output value of 23 billion 200 million yuan, and realized the industrial added value of 4 billion 200 million yuan, up 2.7 times and 1.9 times than that of 2005, accounting for 9% of Xinjiang's local industrial added value, and nearly 120 thousand employees in the industry.
