However, the head of the Tongxiang glass fiber export base also pointed out that although China has become the world's largest producer of glass fiber, most of it is used for export, and the domestic market and the downstream application areas of glass fiber need to be further developed.


Therefore, based on the production of glass fiber raw materials, Tongxiang's glass fiber export base is actively developing new application fields of glass fiber materials for small and medium-sized enterprises in the base. The development of domestic emerging markets and new energy has also promoted the wider application of FRP. Insiders are looking forward to the future of fiberglass products, pointing out that the boom of fiberglass industry is rising sharply. The supply of fiberglass products will gradually tighten, and the global price of glass fiber products has also become the consensus of the industry. The development of glass fiber industry in Tongxiang is expected to enter a golden age of development.


Relying on leading enterprises to realize the sharing of the three service platforms


"Export base construction is the main starting point, main channel and main task of transformation and upgrading, and the construction of export base is always based on the cultivation of public service platform." At the work conference on export bases held in Jiaxing this year, Chen Rufang, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, repeatedly stressed that the base is fundamental and the platform is the key concept of construction.


From past experience, a series of facilities investment, such as R & D, testing and logistics, often become the "hard threshold" for the construction of public service platform. The testing center has a number of leading professional laboratories, such as fluorescent spectrum analyzers, gas chromatograph, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer, etc., and a number of high quality, sharp equipment and constant temperature and humidity glass fiber mechanics laboratory and glass fiber reinforced plastic performance laboratory. At the same time, the center has also set up a professional team engaged in product testing and technology research, providing comprehensive product quality testing for all fiberglass products manufacturers in the base, including various physical properties and chemical performance analysis. The detection varieties include glass fiber, glass fiber products and glass fiber based composite products.


In the research and development of public service platform, the giant stone group R & D center has planned a construction area of 8000 square meters, and has invested more than 20 million yuan on the basis of the original over 40 million yuan experimental equipment. It has become the most advanced glass fiber public technology R & D platform at home and even internationally.
