Recently, China's sports shoes participated in the work of international standard setting, and made a series of substantive breakthroughs.

In November 18th of last year, at the annual ISO/TC216 meeting held in Madrid, Spain, the motion proposed by the Chinese delegation, the antibacterial properties of the footwear, lining and pad test method, was approved by the technical committee and became the leader of the standard. The three Jinjiang enterprises such as Anta, XTEP and globe became drafting units.

In April 7th, the Secretariat of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee held the first meeting of the China Working Group on the international standard of footwear, "ISO/NP16187," the international standard for testing the antibacterial properties of footwear, lining and insole. The 18 experts participated in the meeting in Fuzhou.

Qi Xiaoxia disclosed that the current standard is being drafted, and the end of the year is expected to be completed. It is expected that the international bid committee will be issued next year.

At the same time, the national shoe Standardization Technical Committee has become an observer for CEN/TC309.

Previously, most of the international standards were made by Europeans who were led by the British.

In addition, there are five standards led by European enterprises, and Jordan and other Chinese enterprises are involved.

It is understood that this is the first time that Chinese enterprises have participated in the international shoe making standards and become leaders.

"This breakthrough is of landmark significance."

Qi Xiaoxia, Secretary General of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee, said that in the past, China had never participated in the formulation of international standards, and the right to speak was in the hands of Europeans.

The breakthrough has several implications: first, it has won the international discourse power for China's footwear industry; two, it has boosted the industry's confidence, proving that China's footwear industry is not only a big country of output, but also has begun to exert its strength in the field of technology.

Another good news comes from the fourth ISO/TC137 meeting held in Milan, Italy, at the end of last year. The Chinese delegation has adopted the measurement method of toe girth proposed by ISO/TS19408 for the term and definition of shoes and shoe last.

At the same time, the meeting also decided that the next meeting of ISO/TC137 will be held in China in June 2010, which will be the first time that ISO/TC137 has been held in China for more than fifty years.

The meeting will confirm the new chairperson, discuss the ISO19407 shoe number comparison table, ISO19408 terminology, and re establish the ISO19409 "shoe last size measurement" and discuss the results of the study.

      有助于避开技术壁垒

Standards are not only constraints, but also responsibilities.

Yan Huai Dao, a senior consultant of China leather and footwear industry research institute, believes that the other important significance of participating in the formulation of the leading international ISO footwear standards is to avoid international technical barriers to a certain extent.

Over the past few years, European and American technical barriers to Chinese shoes are becoming more frequent.

China participates in the international shoe making standard, and begins to dominate the rules of technology game in international trade, so as to prepare for future possible trade disputes.

Although Europe and the US have different sizes and hygienic standards for footwear, China's ISO standards are basically recognized by everyone.

However, the overwhelming majority of international technical barriers to trade are implemented or implemented at the threshold of European standards or international standards.

"As Chinese enterprises are more involved in the formulation of international standards, we will no longer be passively following their international counterparts, but we can take the initiative in the front of international standards, so that we can clear the barriers for Chinese shoes through technological guidance."

"Water dragon" (China) Co., Ltd. President Lin Shui Pan said.

According to the notice of the national footwear Standardization Committee, the international standard has paid more attention to physical properties in the past, and future standards revision will focus more on safety performance and health.

All these involve chemical analysis, safety and hygiene.

For example, the six international standards revision that Chinese enterprises are participating in has only one physical property and the rest are chemical properties.

"International standards will not only focus on solid, wear tight, and the proportion of safety and health indicators will definitely increase."

Qi Xiaoxia revealed that in the future, national standards and international standards will gradually release a series of standards for human health.

In particular, heavy metals such as formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, flame retardants and asbestos, which are harmful to the human body, also include the latest DMF banned by the European Union (two methyl fumarate).
