China'S Trade With 17 Central And Eastern European Countries Increased By 50% Year On Year

The reporter learned from the press conference held by the office of the State Council of new China on the 12th: in the first quarter of this year, the trade volume between China and 17 countries in central and Eastern Europe reached US $30.13 billion, an increase of 50.2% over the same period, 11 percentage points higher than the growth rate of China's foreign trade in the same period.

In 2020, the trade volume between China and 17 countries in central and Eastern Europe will exceed US $100 billion for the first time, reaching US $103.45 billion, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year. China's cooperation with central and Eastern European countries has made great progress, which is also reflected in the increasingly close investment cooperation, the steady implementation of infrastructure projects and the stability of interconnection.

From 2012 to 2020, bilateral trade between China and 17 central and Eastern European countries will grow by 8% annually, more than twice the growth rate of trade between China and the EU. Among them, China's imports from central and Eastern European countries increased by 9.1% and export by 7.6%. In the first quarter of this year, China's imports from central and Eastern European countries reached 8.17 billion US dollars, up 44.7% year on year. In the next five years, China plans to import more than 170 billion US dollars of goods from central and Eastern European countries.
