Designers and scientists have planted a new type of fabric in the tea barrel. The fabric has leather feel, but the weight is very light. It has been used to produce shirts, jackets, skirts, and even shoes.

According to them, this brand new and sustainable fabric will gradually become an important fabric in the garment industry, because the resources of conventional textiles are more and more intense, such as cotton, wool and leather, and the greater the fabric demand, the more strained the resources are.
This innovative fabric grows in a mixture of green tea, sugar and other nutrients, and takes many days to grow.
The scientists put the bacteria into the mixture soup, and then grew the cellulose long fibers. These long fibers gathered together to form thin fabric films floating on the surface of the mixture solution.
After drying, these films become pparent fabrics and look like pparent papyrus. However, this pparent papyrus can be further processed, dyed and molded to give them different handle and appearance.
